Prep Time: 15 min

Cook Time: 10 mins

Total Time: 25 mins

Serves: 8-10 ppl

Ingredients

  • 1 Baguette
  • 3/4 Cup of Fresh Basil
  • 15 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 6 Tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1.5 Tablespoons of Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut baguette into slices that are roughly 3/4 of an inch thick.
  3. Next, cut the garlic clove in half and rub on the baguette slices, front and back. Note: we like to cut off a thin slice of garlic after every 2-3 baguette pieces, thereby keeping the end clean, fresh and manageable.
  4. Once finished, brush a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil on both sides of each baguette piece.
  5. Then, stack the Basil Leaves and roll into a cigar shape and chop thinly. You should be left with beautiful basil ribbons.
  6. Up next, slice your cherry tomatoes in half and scoop out the seeds, leaving you with the tomato skins. Follow by chopping the tomato skins into small pieces, then sprinkle with Salt.
  7. Once the oven is ready, place the baguette slices on a pan and bake for 5 minutes. After, flip over and bake for another 5 minutes.
  8. Finally, remove the toasted baguette slices, layer a small spoonful of the tomato skins on each piece, then sprinkle with a pinch of basil. To finish, drizzle extra virgin olive oil.

Buon Appetito!
