Not only will fresh air help mentally ease any stress or tension, but it also provides wonderful physical benefits as well. Including lowering blood pressure and heart rate, improving digestion, and immune system strengthening. Along with a healthy dose of exercise thanks to the hundreds, if not thousands, of trails in and around BC.

The Wine

 For those who enjoy a good glass of wine then a stop in the Okanagan Valley is a must! In fact there are hundreds of wineries in the Okanagan and it is British Columbia’s premier grape growing region. The best part about these wineries are the incredible views of the surrounding landscapes. Even if you aren’t a wine drinker it’s still worth a visit – and many wineries offer food and snacks as well. Furthermore, the Okanagan attracts all types of wine lovers thanks to its wide array of vineyards, and the wine is just as special as the province itself.

Fun fact: ice wine was first introduced to Canada in the Okanagan!

Road Trip Friendly

 If you like to avoid overcrowded destinations and want to journey the open road then here is the perfect place. Note that it can be a bit busy in the major cities but even so, it’s still enjoyable. As for the roads, travelling through the Canadian west coast is quite easy, the roads are manageable and pretty much all paved (unless you go off road to find a secret hiking spot). Also, the best part about driving through the Canadian Rockies is being able to revel in the views – even as a driver!
