The Hofburg is a large palace complex filled with things to do and see in Vienna. If you want to learn about Vienna’s imperial past and discover interesting museums then this is a must visit. The Hofburg dates back to 1275 and grew into Vienna’s huge central palace complex. Over the many years, it was expanded multiple times throughout many architectural eras. Including Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, and Neoclassical. Moreover, it was the principal imperial palace of the Habsburg Dynasty. Today, it is the official seat of the federal president and has a variety of uses throughout the complex for government, organizations, events, and tourism.
